2016 Durmadan Kurulup Dağılan Bu Yerde, 6`,for solo violin and electronics
In this piece of music, the violin is conceived as an airy, etherially twittering instrument through the focused employment of harmonics. In the electroacoustic accompani- ment, sounds from the violin are utilized as a source alongside the sound of an iron nail spinning in a ceramic cup. The discourse of the composition ensues from the contrast of the clear violin harmonics and metallic sounds(the spinning nail, ring modulated violin pizzicatos that have took a metallic quality). The title is quoted from a line of a ruba’i of Omar Khayyam; in the rest of the rubai Khayyam advices that one ought not lose his cheerfulness even when he can find no consolidation for his troubles.
